Healthy Kids™ SCA
Healthy Kids™ SCA is the NSW based school canteen support organization and home of the Healthy Kids™ School Canteen Buyers Guide and the Healthy Kids™ Nutrient Criteria. Providing support for schools, Healthy Kids™ has been a key partner in the design and development of the NSW Government Healthy School Canteen Strategy: Fresh Tastes @ School: the first in Australia.
With a goal of “making healthy choices, easy choices at school”, Healthy Kids™ publishes the popular, user-friendly School Canteen Buyers’ Guide. All Green and Amber Healthy Kids™ products have been assessed by dieticians and approved for sale in school canteens. The Buyers’ Guide is sent to all Australian schools free of charge and is available online.
Healthy Kids™ SCA also works with school communities, parents, the food industry and health professionals. Their website provides a multitude of resources including fact sheets, recipes, a Healthy Kids™ Calculator for Red Foods, an online chat room and links to government resources.
